1. Who we are
Opinio Insights ("Opinio Flow", "we") operates opinio.com and the Opinio Flow research platform. We act as a data processor for research studies commissioned by our clients and as a data controller for this website and our own business contacts.
2. What we collect
- Website visitors: technical data such as IP address, browser, and pages viewed, and anything you submit through the pilot request form (name, work email, company, research needs).
- Research respondents: conversation recordings, transcripts, quality scores, and the contact channel used (phone number, WhatsApp number, or web session), collected only within a study you have consented to join.
3. Why we use it
To run the research study you agreed to take part in, to respond to your enquiry, to keep the platform secure, to detect fraud and duplicate participation, and to improve the conversation engine. We do not sell personal data.
4. Legal bases (GDPR) and consent (DPDP)
For EU/UK respondents we rely on consent for participation and on legitimate interests for security and fraud prevention. For Indian respondents we obtain consent as required by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, with a clear notice of purpose at the start of every conversation.
5. Voice data
Voice verification detects repeat respondents without creating or storing a biometric profile. Recordings are retained only for the period agreed in the study scope.
6. Retention
Study data is retained for the period agreed with the commissioning client and then deleted. Website enquiry data is kept for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and no longer than 24 months.
7. Sharing
Data is shared with the client who commissioned the study, with infrastructure and telephony providers acting under contract as sub-processors, and where required by law. A current sub-processor list is available on request.
8. International transfers
Where data leaves the EU/UK or India we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
9. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or withdraw consent, by emailing info@opinio.com. EU/UK residents may also complain to their supervisory authority; Indian data principals may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
